Looking at the rates of people who died in Covin-19 in some states and cities, it is seen that the majority of African Americans are.
The Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfood, whose 30 percent of the population is black, said that 72 percent of those who died in the city due to Covid-19 were African Americans.
"These data provide a highly worrying picture of the spread of Kovid-19 and inequality among communities," said Lightfood.
In Louisiana, another state where the epidemic was effective, 70 percent of those who died from Kovid-19 were said to be black.
Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, whose 32 percent of the population is African American, said they would investigate the reason for these numbers.
In Michigan, it was stated that 40 percent of the people who died from Kovid-19 were black Americans, and the cases were seen in Detroit, where blacks lived mostly. African Americans account for 14 percent of Michigan's population.
Call for lawyers to explain numbers
In a statement, the Human Rights Lawyers Committee called on the federal government to explain the numbers of the Kovid-19 outbreak among races and ethnicities.
"We want to make sure that people of all races and colors receive equal health care and treatment during this crisis period," the statement said.
According to the latest published numbers in the USA, 400 thousand 549 cases were detected. 12 thousand 857 people lost their lives in the epidemic
